Biography on label reads as follows: SIDE A: This is the first record by The Four Speeds and if initial reaction after a recording session is any barometer it is destined for big things. The group, Benny Goodwin, James Hartley, Marvin Robinson and Willie Driskell, Jr., have the ability to write their own material and sing it with a feeling seldom heard by any other group. They are definitely a coming act. SIDE B: The Four Speeds were formed about six months ago in Jacksonville, Florida where all the boys reside. Benny Goodwin is the lead voice. He was discovered several years ago by DeLuxe A&R man Carl LeBow, but LeBow felt that Goodwin needed more experience before being recorded. When Carl felt that Benny was "ready", the group was formed and a recording session held.
