Kubient

This is the live and improvised album from Kubusschnitt that was recorded in Utrecht during the rehearsal for the Alfa Centauri concert. The lights were off and beer was consumed, then the music began. The original name for this (which is an extract from a much longer piece) was "Ambient Utrecht". The name "Kubient" works well, as it really was a Kubusschnitt Ambient experiment. The three of us enjoyed this one at the time and to my ears it still sounds good. The sound has been remastered, quite gently, with the aim of bringing the music alive a little more and bringing out some of the hidden parts lurking in there. Considering this was just recorded live to two tracks, and all mixing (such as it was) happened in the moment, this really is quite a good recording. It could just as easily be called, "Live in Utrecht".
