Božská Komédia

"This is the artwork that we have been working on during the last few years. The album is inspired by the timeless topic of Dante's Divine Comedy, specifically the part of Hell where we find ourselves at the imaginary bottom of the human soul. Here we are shown human selfishness and pettiness. Lies, hatred of others and superiority of ourselves over them. Last but not least, there is an image of human evil at its highest level, namely exploitation ending in death. Now, we invite you to enjoy the Divine Comedy by the band Distax." Distax was founded in 2011 by Andrej, who is the only original member after the line-up changes in the early years. In 2017, the band released a split album with Concussa. During the preparation of Božská Komédia (Divine comedy) album, guitarist Miyia gave birth to her daughter in August 2021 and since then she's been an inactive member. A pal Homár joined the band (also plays the guitar in the band Diktät with Dalibor, Andrej and Samo). Božská Komédia (Divine comedy) is the band's first long playing album. "We were composing the music slowly from 2015 to 2020 after having recorded our previous split album. The song Diktátor was taken from the band Hippie Killer and the voice in the beginning belongs to their singer Matúš (taken from their other song). The recording took place at Martin Barla's studio in Poprad who did all the sound-related work. Visuals, graphics and illustrations (based on V.Hložnik's works) are done by Daniel Goliaš."
