An all ages mini bop dreaming of a galaxy where everyone feels loved, respected, and free. I wrote this track in response to Showing Up for Racial Justice's call to white artists to create content to inspire people (specifically white people) who are new to the Racial Justice movement. I recently learned that it is possible to acknowledge your internalized racism and still love yourself. I think this can be a really hard dichotomy for people to accept. This song seeks to inspire folx who are new to the movement, and is based in my experiences as someone who is still new to the movement. I hope that the vision of a society where everyone feels loved, respected, and free is something that will resonate with you. “If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time.
