Hand numbered limited edition of 271 copies on red translucent vinyl [a=The Trademarks (2)] are not credited but [a=Wayne Proctor] said it's them... [a=Wayne Proctor]'s Facebook post (March 16th 2021): "This is NOT a "We the People" recording, and was never, ever released to the public on ANY record label, much less the "Hotline" label, which was never connected the The Trademarks. "Crying Gun" is one of the last studio recordings by The Trademarks (Pre-We the People) in 1965, and this NEW vinyl is an illegal bootleg 45 rpm that has never been authorized for release by the songwriter, or the band. To my knowledge, I am the only one who owns the original acetate of this song. That said.... I am glad it has been preserved and posted on YouTube, as I didn't think it had any value, plus I didn't know how to transfer the acetate recording to a new vinyl 45 rpm for a youtube posting.
