Collector Info: from "The Cryptic Guide To The Residents" 1986 Published by Ralph Records,109 Minna #391, San Francisco, CA 94105 The first pressing of George & James (180 copies) was not used, due to a blast of distortion which appeared near the end of the George Side of the album. These copies are identified by the matrix RZ8402A Re 1 on side one, and they were the result of premature manufacturing by a new record plant, before The Cryptic Corporation had approved the test pressings. The regular release of the album has the matrix RZ8402A Re 5, and does not suffer this audible blemish. In the Spring of 1984, Ralph Records pressed a 100-copy, clear vinyl edition of George And James, of which 75 pieces were numbered.
