Private pressing album by the father of singer/songwriter [a=Even Stevens], Rev. Floyd A. Stevens, under his "Steve Stevens" stage name. Rev. Stevens is accompanied by his daughter, Sandra Lee Stevens, and a guitarist named Bert Martin. Liner notes outline Rev. Stevens' secular and religious performing career on stage, radio and television -- and intriguingly mentions that HIS father was "a featured soloist of old time Minstrel days." Location of "Balladeer Records" as imprinted on the record label is the family's hometown, Lewistown, Ohio. Album sleeve title "Praise Ye The Lord" is actually part of the stock illustration design Stevens chose for his album sleeve. The three lines of text below it were custom printed on the sleeves.
