[From liner notes:] Tracks 1-4 were all recorded in September 1986 “live” onto four track at a rehearsal studio in Swan Street, Torquay by Rog Cromton. It was from this session that the flexi tracks were chosen. Tracks 5 and 6 recorded sometime in 1987 also “live” onto four track at a rehearsal studio in Castle Circus in Torquay by Steve Milton and Jake Klosin. Track 7 was originally part of the "Storm" EP but [did] not make the cut to record. This version was recorded in March 1987 "live” onto four track at a rehearsal studio in Castle Circus in Torquay by Steve Milton and Jake Klosin. Tracks 8-10 were recorded over the weekend of 30/31 May 1987 and are the Playroom Discs “Storm” EP versions. These tracks were all recorded at trickey Sound Studios in Exeter by Phil Trickey. Tracks 11-14 were recorded sometime in 1987 onto four track in Jake Klosin’s house in Torquay assisted by Steve Milton. Tracks 15 and 16 were recorded in June 1988 "live" onto four track in Jake Klosin’s house in Torquay assisted by Steve Milton. These were demo versions of the tracks that were intended to be our third release on “The Golden Pathway” label.
