Concrete Animals

Notes from Bandcamp "This record means a lot to us on a couple of levels. Not only do we think the tracks are some of our best work to date (a nice appetiser before we move to Castles in Space next year), it's our first release on vinyl, which makes it very special for us. On top of that, we hope to help raise a little cash for some of the people that have helped us along the way this year. The idea for this release began with Steven Anderson (Letters From Mouse) asking us for a track on an upcoming compilation to help raise funds for operating costs for Mad Wasp Radio, on which Steven hosts his popular 'Magic Window' radio show on Sunday nights. Stations like MWR rely on contributions from the public to help keep the show going. Not long after Concrete Animals was finished, we quickly arrived at the idea of putting out a 7" single to coincide with Steven's compilation, so we composed a second track, titled 'Einhliða' (pronounced 'ine-hlee-tha') to back up Concrete Animals as a AA side. 100% of the profits from the sale of this record will go directly to Mad Wasp Radio.
