Fully-produced demo of Jack Hammer's most ambitious work: a Broadway musical about the life of his friend Jimi Hendrix, in which he plays and performs as Jimi Hendrix. The songs appear to be performed by an original ensemble cast. Jack Hammer sings the role of Jimi Hendrix in many of them and his narrated scene descriptions are inserted between all songs. Recorded around August 1974. It is very likely that Richie Havens was involved in this record as Jack Hammer's co-producer. This "Electric God" demo was very likely used to pitch the concept as a musical show and as a movie. The project is mentioned periodically in music trade publications and interviews with Jack Hammer and Richie Havens into the 1990s.
