Recorded at Slugs' Saloon, NYC in May of 1967 Titles for side A and C were erroneously switched during production. This is a word on the error by the label on Rashied Ali's official page on Bandcamp where the vinyl is sold: "Correction: Sides A and C of the Vinyl were reversed in production; side A plays 'Study for As-Salaam Alikum' and Side C plays 'Composition 1 [title unknown].' We regret the error." The run times listed for side A and C are for their respective correct song titles, so "Study for As-Salaam Alikum" runs at 24:16 and "Composition 1 [Title Unknown]" runs at 25:12.
