A peak experience for the group was their participation in the "All Ohio Christian Music Competition for 1980" at the Ohio State Fair. This Gospel extravaganza was judged by top professional musicians throughout the county, and afforded "The Inspirations" the privilege of becoming the number one ranked gospel group in the State of Ohio.
