Примечания

Brief History: This is also known as the 3rd Region Rock Tape to many. The first was a 90 minute tape compiled by Iggy Scam (now Erika Lyle) of SCAM zine fame in 1997 called "Technical Difficulties From Day One" AKA SCAM #2 1/2 The second was a 60 minute tape compiled by Greg Harvester of RICE HARVESTER zine called "Fuck The Curse" AKA RICE HARVESTER #7. Josh Mayfield did a long running zine called DIRTROADS & CARPET which eventually changed the name to a shorter abbreviated and vampirish, D.R.A.C. ZINE. Big Shank The Bandit was a consistent contributor/writer for the zine. Though it has no DRAC catalog number it was considered to be. Being no fan of repetition in his trail and a firm believer of breaking tradition he released a massive zine accompanied with a 90 minute kick ass almost all new and unreleased region tape compilation a few years later called The DIRTROADS & CARPET ALBUM AKA as D.RA.C. #8 1/2 or DRAC TAPE. This and that compilation are often confused with each other even to people on the tapes. Also, which later inspired a short documentary by Mitchell Powers (Chaos L.R./Ye Olde Buttfuck), Mayfield wrote, compiled and released a 4 tape/ 6 hour audio zine with book documenting Dalton, GA's legendary artist PETER STUBB (featured on this tape). Mayfield continues to release and leave zines/comics/activist pamplets in places like truck stop restrooms, grocery stores, and rest areas to this day under the radar from the zine/punk scene he once recognized, respected, and treated as an equal in. TAPE INFO/FACTS: This was a donated project by 2 friends to support their small but nationally acknowledged scene. A 90 minute region rock tape sold at shows as a benefit to help pay bills for a Chattanooga Underground Music Venue called, The Rear Entry. Bands practiced and eventually lived there. These tapes were compiled via dubbing by Jeremy "Big Shank" Johnson and Josh Mayfield from various and large collection of region rock demos in a punk house in North Chattanooga that the cops would not leave alone. There are 2 versions of this release. The original version with liner notes by Big Shank on one side of a white Xeroxed piece of paper and track listing written out by Josh Mayfield on the other side. About 90 copies of that version were made and sold out quickly. Allen Beltran is thanked and credited for buying the cassettes. Six years later Josh Mayfield ran a tape label/distro via back pages of MRR when there was still an option to reject the internet and sold tapes and records for $3. Josh's ads in MRR called the distro a new thing every month such as THAT THERE, ELECTRIC OUIJA BOARD RECORDS, $3 RECORDS). Still having the mastertape and buying a cassette duplicater this was reissued on either a grey, blue, or pink sheet of Xeroxed paper with updated liner notes by Josh Mayfield giving more info on the bands and a small history of The Rear Entry and that era of time in Chattanooga/the Region. That time about 500 copies were made. All just have Big & Little Shank Production, or, Shit You Might Not Have Vol. 1 handwritten on any kind of 90 minute tape. Cover model: Forrest Haye- first wave Dalton, GA musician/region rocker gone too soon. Played bass and sang in The Spades and was 2nd guitar for the Spawn Sacs for a bit. No recordings with him on them have been released but it is unknown if he's on anything ever since there are plenty of unreleased Spawn Sacs recordings collecting dust that will one day hopefully see the light. Big Shank The Bandit passed away in 2013. Josh Mayfield has been threatening to release a Shit You Might Not Have Vol. 2 from his giant archive for awhile. Maybe if pestered he will...
