(BMI) This EP has nothing to do with Jello Biafra, and / or Alternative Tentacles. None of the production credits should be believed or taken seriously, as the entire thing was a prank / hoax / con. The vocalist posing (and credited) as Jello Biafra on the album is Caroliner's lead singer Grux. "Cooties" and "Edward Gain" are very probably Wade Driver, but it isn't verified anywhere. The artwork actually appears to be by Winston Smith though, as it is listed in his online gallery. -------- From Thicker fanzine interview with Biafra, on 7/31/94 : "EB: So what was the deal with that Plainfield album? JB: Well, for those of you that don't already know, I'm not anywhere on it, and it's not an Alternative Tentacles record. I was shocked at how many people, even radio programmers at college stations on the last tour, thought that that was really me. I've gotta admit, Smelly went to a ridiculous amount of work, to the point of stealing our computer bar code, which was going to be used on the Alice Donut live album, and having a rubber stamp made to look exactly like our return address rubber stamp, things like that. Nobody has ever taken it so hard, and gone to such extremes, just for being turned down by Alternative Tentacles for a record. Yeah, basically, it was a con job and a prank. I finally got a hold of one, because he wouldn't give me any, and I just can't believe anyone would have thought that was me. Grux from Caroliner Rainbow just doesn't sound totally authentic. He came close, but a trained ear can tell." -------
