Pituka La Bella

There is no information about the performers on the cover or label of this album, which was released in the 60's, perhaps ca. 1960 or 1961 according to several mentions on the internet, including the FIU Diaz-Ayala Cuban music archive. I can find no evidence that this group is the same Ritmo de Estrellas as on the 1980 lp "Roberto Torres presenta: Ritmo de Estrellas". A note about this album in the Diaz-Ayala archive suggested that this was a charanga band formed at the time for the purpose of recording this hard to find, uncredited album. As to precedence of editions of this record, an experienced dealer in Latin music gave me his firm opinion that this edition should be considered the original mid 60's US Discuba 1st label variation.
