Limited edition box set version (limited to 25) also available (includes colored vinyl, two posters, three patches and custom-made outer box.) This split LP is a collection of cover tracks from both bands, paying homage to the black metal bands that most-influenced each band early-on and up through today. Both bands Ildjarn / Ildjarn-Nidhogg cover tracks originally appeared on the 2004 tribute compilation "Under The Banner of Strength and Anger: A Tribute to Ildjarn" CD, released by Pestilence Records. Nachtmystium's cover of Burzum's "Det Som Engang Var" was recorded in August, 2013 as part of the "The World We Left Behind" LP sessions, and was only digitally released as part of the 2017 "Retox: Remixes & Rarities" compilation by Earache Records, UK. This is the only physical release featuring this recording. Nachtmystium's cover of Judas Iscariot's "An Eternal Kingdom of Fire" was recorded in June, 2018 as an exclusive track for this split LP. Nachtmystium's cover of VON's "Satanic Blood" originally appeared as a vinyl-only bonus track on the 2004 LP pressing of the bands "Eulogy IV" EP, released by Perverted Taste Records, and on the limited edition CD version (1,000 units) as a bonus track as well, released by Southern Lord Recordings in 2005. Leviathan's cover of Judas Iscariot's "Where Winter Beats Incessant" originally was recorded-for and appeared on the "To The Triumph Of Evil ...Witnesses To The Bringer Of Life's Decay... A Tribute To Judas Iscariot" compilation, released in 2006 on CD by ISO666 Productions and vinyl LP in 2007 by Zerstörungs Produktionen. (Nachtmystium also appeared on this compilation contributing a cover of "Gaze Upon Heaven In Flames", which appeared on the band self-titled 2003 MLP originally.) Leviathan's cover of VON's "Blood Angel" originally appeared on the Leviathan / Crebain split album. This release is considered unofficial by Jef Whitehead / Leviathan, he requested for this split to be cancelled months ago after still not having received artist copies of previous Leviathan records released by Ascension Monuments Media. The vinyl was delayed for months due to financial hardships at the record label and has finally been shipped by the pressing plant to the label and released in November, 2018. This is the last release from Ascension Monuments Media that was still waiting to be finished / released post-production.
