Shock Treatment (Interpretations)

LINER NOTES FROM BACK SLEEVE: Hello. Please enjoy these lo-fi interpretations of Shock Treatment songs from very, very early in my career. They are crude and date from my earliest time as Marc With a C, but they are very close to my heart. THINGS TO KNOW: 1. These songs were home-recorded between 1999-2005 on a broken four-track. I didn't know what I was doing. It got pretty weird and experimental. 2. The recordings were made to make myself feel better during bouts of depression and weren't initially intended for release. 3. Many of the words and chords aren't even close to correct. There wasn't a plethora of Shock Treatment information available at the time, and I felt like the only person that liked the songs at all back then. I either learned by ear from a beat-up VHS or tried to sing the lyrics from my (faulty) memory. 4. I'm thrilled that these flawed bedroom recordings have found a home and a second life with people that may have been touched by Richard O'Brien's creations. 5. I still feel weird about the lyrics at the end of "Thank God I'm a Man", but... those are the words. Sigh. 6. Thank you for listening. 7.
