The Snowman: The Stage Show (Soundtrack Recording)

1998 RM Associates original CD issue of a 1998 studio recording featuring the expanded score to the live stage production of "The Snowman," which was expanded and adapted by Howard Blake from his 1982 score to the animated film of the same name. The original theatre orchestra performed the work once again in a studio setting, recorded digitally with " SONY's state-of-the-art 20-bit Digital Audio Recorder" under the baton of the composer. The packaging features a twelve-page booklet with track listings, an uncredited track-by-track musical analysis, lyrics to "Christmas Carol" and "Walking In The Air," recording notes by CD producer Neil Mundy, an uncredited biographical note about the composer, and numerous photos from the production by Catherine Ashmore on the interior pages; and color front and back covers, the former featuring the key art from the production, and the latter featuring an advertisement for the video version of the recording. (The members of the original theatre orchestra are given unspecified credit on the back of the inlay card, but space limitations prevent their inclusion here!)
