Inside Out

Subtitle on sleeve: Songs I Like To Play. Performed on the 4-16 Robert Morton pipe organ, opus 2375 in the Sheraton Inn (formerly Carl Greer Inn), Sacramento. This unique recording was made by placing the microphones inside the underground pipe chamber. Expression was achieved by stop changes only. The purity and lovely speaking voices of this famous installation were perfectly captured. This was the last commercial recording of the all-original instrument. Some of the pipework was destroyed while in storage in Palm Springs about 12 years later.
